Ways of Working
This summer I had the fine fortune to meet Katie Greenman, the Program Director at City Awake, at a work event. City Awake is the civic innovation lab for Greater Boston. They bring passionate individuals together to help solve some of Boston’s biggest challenges. As someone whose unofficial job title is “collaboration engineer,” I was deeply intrigued. Katie and I chatted, and pretty immediately saw opportunities for City Awake and Collective Next to join forces to help facilitate meaningful change in a city we all love.

Scribing and Graphic Facilitation Training Programs
Scribing is everywhere. Surely you’ve seen evidence of this over the last few years in commercials, on shopping bags and packaging, and even in business, where scribe-style videos have been very popular for the last 5+ years. So what is it about scribing that people find so appealing? Outside of the context of the business world, where you see examples of scribing unfolding in “real time” to either conversation or scripted stories, it exists as static images, too, used to fill spaces with a sense of whimsy and energy.

We Made This
Once again this year, we had the privilege to partner with the legendary Peter Vander Auwera to design and facilitate Innotribe at Sibos. Innotribe's action- and idea-packed four-day, 24-session program concluded last Thursday. A diverse range of speakers delighted, inspired, and provoked audiences with concepts ranging from organizational design to FinTech innovation to the future of money/the world/humanity.

Ways of Working
In a few days our team will head to Geneva, Switzerland to deliver Innotribe at Sibos. Sibos is big in every way. It’s an annual one-week conference organized by SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication), the world’s leading provider of secure financial messaging services. SWIFT is a co-op, and Sibos is a chance to get the band together and talk about the issues and topics that matter to their member community and partners.
